first poem.......
Magic
The woods are ablaze, We look on the days ahead of us, Of magic, mystery, and of rust Fire lives on forever and ever. In magic we live much longer than We do, but everyone must die
I love the child-like mixture of appreciation for wonder and pragmatic rationalism. It's a struggle we all play with through our lives, but perhaps some become overly rational with age. Fun!
I asked him about the word rust (thinking perhaps he had simply tried to come up with something that rhymed closely with us). He patiently explained to me that rust is just another way of saying that things get old.....

Nice job from Grant!
I love the rhyme not on the same stress.. days/ablaze, and the near rhyme us/rust.
