Sunbeams: They taught me that the truth would make me free but failed to warn me of the kind of trouble I’d get into by trying to tell it—I remain duly grateful. --Margaret Atwood
Roy has much to say about Slumdog Millionaire, an abhorrent film, the popularity of which betrays our elitist love of superficiality, stereotyping, and globalization.
The Valve team anticipated this sort of thing with their creation of the "civil protection" combine troops. Peaceful resistance and solid community can be a pancea. Let's keep communicating and hope for the best. I'm not ready to take up arms like the fictional game characters, but history shows us that folks do this. Namaste

I had heard the title of this book, but didn't know what it was about. I'll have to find it.
